SEPTEMBER 22nd -- FIRST DAY OF FALL

The fall equinox marks the beginning of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere.  It's interesting to note that this day coincides with the vernal (spring) equinox in the Southern Hemisphere.

Tip: Lots of fun little things to celebrate today:
  • Wear autumn colors today to get in the mood
  • Pull out magazines and newspapers and have your children find anything and everything that rhymes with FALL -- either in word or picture
  • Make a list with your children of what bad habits should start to "fall" away this season
  • Who said spring cleaning is the only time for a deep clean?  Grab everything that has FALLen onto the floors of your closet and get organized!

Let us know on our message boards your ideas to celebrate the First Day of Fall -- someone out there MUST be making leaf-shaped pancakes for breakfast with maple syrup.  Let's hear from you!
