NOVEMBER 15TH – AMERICA RECYCLES DAY
America Recycles Day (U.S.): In honor of today’s eco-friendly programs, consider the following recycling “Wows”: Every day American businesses use enough paper to circle the earth 20 times! One tree can filter up to 60 pounds of pollutants from the air each year! Americans recover more than two million pounds of paper every day but that’s only 40% of the paper we use!
Tip: Take your kids with you to your local recycling center. It will not only show them where it is, but also get them thinking about what else they can recycle or how to set up a recycling system at home to make the next trip to the recycling center easier.
