NOVEMBER 6th - SAXOPHONE DAY
Belgian musician Adophe Sax was born on this day in 1814. He invented several brass wind instruments that revolutionized band and orchestra music.
Tip: Almost anything can be an instrument. Find ways to make homemade instruments with pots/pans, wooden spoons, paper towel rolls and anything else that your imagination can dream up. OR call your local high school to see if you can watch band practice in the afternoon.
