NOVEMBER 11th - VETERANS DAY

Formerly Armistice Day, Veterans Day honors the men and women who have served in the military during wartime. The November 11 date commemorates the 1918 truce that signaled the end of World War I at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.

Tip: As you drive in the car today, have your child(ren) count how many United States flags they see. Remind them that seeing a flag is something very special that symbolizes our freedom and those that fought to protect that freedom.
