MARCH 21st – FIRST DAY OF SPRING
In the northern hemisphere, the vernal equinox occurs each year when the sun crosses the celestial equator moving northward. For our purposes, let's just say it's when day and night are the same length (but feel free to impress your friends)!.
Tip: If you are fortunate to have spring-like weather, head outside and have a picnic or take a walk. While outside, take turns naming other "firsts" or telling your child about his/her "firsts." Not such a spring-like day? Pull out a photo album and show your child some "firsts" from years past.
