JUMBLE BEES – Are your spelling exercises getting a little stale? Here’s a way to liven up those old vocabulary lists: As you introduce new words, write them on a dry erase board until you have a complete set. Have your kids hide their eyes while you rearrange letters on some of the new words. Then challenge your kids to see how many misspelled words they can identify and correct. This way they’ll build their vocabularies as well as spelling skills.
