JANUARY 19TH - NATIONAL POPCORN DAY

Popcorn pops because each kernel holds a small amount of water within soft starch. All we need to know is that popcorn is a tasty snack, but had you heard that popcorn poppers predating the Incas have been discovered in Peru? Enough with the trivia - let's eat!

TIP: Popcorn is great to eat and makes for a wonderful project. Have your child take popped popcorn to create popcorn cloud designs. Use the popped popcorn and glue to create clouds in various shapes and designs. The forecast at your house will pop up cloudy with a definite chance for fun.
