FINE MOTOR FUN FOR THE HOLIDAYS!
The cold weather is here and the excitement of the holiday season is building! Looking for fun ideas to keep those little hands busy?
- Connect toothpicks with mini marshmallows to make "snowflakes." Have your child make designs on their own and then make a design and see if they can copy yours!
- Mae a 3-D tissue paper snowman. Use leftover white tissue-paper from your holiday wrapping. Have your child tear off little pieces and crumple into a ball. Glue the tissue balls into a drawing of a snowman.
- Make sugar cookie letters and shapes. Have your child form the dough into letters and shapes before baking. Use sprinkles and other fun cookie decorations to make it even more exciting!
- Lace up some holiday cards for the season! Have your child cut out a holiday shape of their choice. Use a hole punch to make holes around the edges. Find some leftover ribbon and weave the ribbon through the holes. Have your child draw a picture, dictate or write what they want the card to say, and surprise someone special!
Happy Holidays!
