BOOK BITES – Have your kids select a book for silent reading time. Set a timer or announce when 20 minutes have elapsed. At that point, ask each kid to give a 30-second book report. Instruct them to offer plot summary information, new words, interesting characterizations and any themes that have been introduced in their current reading selections.
